BNI Deeside Dragon boat racers raise over £1000 for North Wales Superkids

Members of Deeside BNI the business network group took part in the dragon boat race on the river Dee in Chester.

The seventeen strong crew took part to raise money for North Wales Superkids in the Dragon Boat Festival last weekend.

A total of 23 teams entered this year’s race, the 12th Chester Dragon Boat Festival, raising money for over 40 charities.

The event sees Chinese style dragon boats, complete with drummer, race over a distance of around 230 meters, each team was given three timed races during the day.

BNI Deeside Dragons won all 3 races, however were just pipped to the post in qualifying for the final race.

Money raised by BNI Deside from the race will go to North Wales Superkids  a Flint based charity which supports children and young people up to the age of 25 who are socially and economically disadvantaged.
