Principality, Wales’ largest building society, has launched a nationwide appeal to find the charity, community group or organisation, which most deserves a £5,000 New Year boost, but nominations will close on January 11 2014.

As well as the opportunity to fund their vital project or service, the winning group will also celebrate a successful year with a 2014 Christmas party courtesy of the building society.

Principality, is asking people to encourage their favourite community group or good cause to enter to be in with a chance of winning Principality’s Community Vote 2014.

Julie-Ann Haines, Customer Director at Principality Building Society, added:

“Principality is proud to be at the heart of the communities where we live and work and we want to celebrate the excellent work that is being done in our communities.

“This campaign will ensure that the winning group not only receive this funding boost to kick start 2014 but they will also have a chance to celebrate with their community next Christmas.”

“We want as many local community groups and good causes as possible to come forward, and if they are shortlisted, we hope that their whole area will get behind them for the final vote.”

In order to be in with a chance of winning the £5,000 prize – and a Christmas party for next year – a community group or charity representative must fill out an application form which is available in every Principality Building Society branch and online at www.principality.co.uk/GoodwillVote.
