Three arrested in Mold after ‘large’ group of youths damage cars, smash windows – local resident assaulted

Police are appealing for information after one person was injured and windows in McDonalds were smashed  following a disturbances in Mold on Saturday night.

A large group of youths attended McDonald’s restaurant in the town at around 6pm where they caused damage to a number of windows.

The group then made their way to the Elm Drive area where a local resident was hospitalised after being assaulted, a number of cars were also damaged.

DCI Neil Harrison is appealing for information. He said;

“We received several calls in relation to anti-social behaviour by this group.

“While there have been reports of anti-social behaviour in the area before, this was a serious escalation. Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident; one has been released without charge, while two remain on bail.

“I would like to reassure the public that this level of anti-social behaviour in the Mold area is unusual and we have stepped up patrols and have a dedicated team of officers looking into all reports.

“Anyone with information should call North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting event reference S167267.”
