Shotton’s ‘Purple Angel Ambassador’ meets local MP to raise awareness of Dementia

Mark Tami MP met Flintshire’s very own Purple Angel Ambassador last week, Ann Farr, from Shotton.

Ann is part of a network of purple angel ambassadors who highlight the difficulties that many people with dementia face and is embarking on a campaign to get Flintshire more dementia aware and become a dementia friendly community.

Mark said,

‘This is a really important campaign as approximately 42,000 people suffer from dementia in Wales and it can be an isolating disease both for the person who suffers from it and their family.’

‘It is a fantastic opportunity to make Flintshire an easier place for people who suffer from dementia to live and I am very impressed with the work that Ann is doing to promote dementia awareness in the area.’

The Purple Angel support those living with dementia, as well as their families and friends, they work tirelessly to raise awareness of dementia related illness around the world.
