SCAM ALERT: Man calling residents claiming to be from Flintshire County Council

Flintshire Trading Standards are warning about a scam they’ve received reports about.

A man has been telephoning local residents claiming to be from Flintshire Council.

The calls appear to be related to compensation for accidents and the number involved is 0208 9000010.

Trading Standards Officers say:

“If a person calls you claiming to be working with or for Flintshire County Council and offers you compensation for an accident, please end the call and do not provide or confirm any personal details.”

If you have received any calls from people claiming to work with or for Flintshire County Council trading standards are asking you to report them to the Citizens Advice Service on: 03454 04 05 06
