Police warning of long delays on A55 due to a crash near Halkyn

Reports of another collision this time at Dobbs Hill – Traffic report says:

A55 Flintshire – A55 busy but moving and one lane blocked westbound at J35, A550 (Dobbs hill), because of an accident involving two vehicles.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the westbound carriageway of the A55 just after junction 33 at Halkyn due to a multi-vehicle accident.

The Welsh Ambulance Service say they have sent one emergency ambulance to the scene of the crash.

A spokesperson said:

“We were called at about 10.20am to reports of a road traffic collision on the A55 westbound near Pentre Halkyn.

“An emergency ambulance attended and a woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.”

The accident is between J33 A5119 Northop Road and J32 A5026

The A55 is partially blocked and there queuing traffic westbound back to Aston Hill.

Initial traffic reports said up to six vehicles are involved however that’s been revised to two vehicles.
