Police Appeals: Distraction burglary in Shotton, suspicious male in Connah's Quay, damaged cars In Garden City

Police are once again warning about ‘rogue traders’ in the Deeside area.

At around 2pm yesterday, Monday October 13th a man described as in his 20’s, wearing a dark blue shirt and dark trousers, and with a local accent called at an address in Dodds lane.

He claimed to be from the council and was there to unblock drains.

He went on to ask the home owner to run all bathroom taps, he also asked for a ‘pin number’ which was refused after the homeowner asked the man for ID which he failed to produce, he did manage to steal a purse and phone while he was at the house.

Meanwhile Police are asking members of the Public if they saw anything suspicious in Garden City last night (Monday 13th Oct|) Vauxhall Vectra parked  in Riverside Park had a window smashed and lap top stolen.

There are also reports of a suspicious male in Connah’s Quay this morning claiming to be from BT Police would like any information on him, has he visited your house?
