The incident happened at around 5.15pm on Monday, 1 September.

PC Miles Caine said: “Two men and a woman got off a train from Shotton and began arguing amongst themselves.

“A member of staff intervened to calm the situation, but was grabbed by one of the men.”

The man shouted threats at the victim as he grappled with him, and the assault was only brought to an end after the other man intervened.

PC Caine said:

“Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any serious injuries, but his clothing was torn during the attack.

“We want the rail network to be a safe place for passengers and staff, and will not accept violence of any kind. That is why we are determined to find the man responsible for this attack.

“I believe the man in the image we are issuing today has valuable information about the incident. Do you recognise him? Please contact BTP.”
