Connah’s Quay Nomads manager Andy Morrison has been shortlisted for the Dafabet Welsh Premier League Manager of the Season award.

It’s the second successive season Morrison the former Manchester City defender has been named in the shortlist.

Morrison is one of four nominees; the others are; Bala Town’s Colin Caton, Cefn Druids Huw Griffiths and TNS manager Craig Harrison.

The winner of the award will be announced at the Dafabet Welsh Premier League 2016/17 Awards on the evening of Saturday 20th May at the Coldra Court Hotel in Newport.

Morrison commented on his shortlisting to say;

I’m obviously delighted to be on the shortlist for Manager of the Season. Having been nominated for last season’s award, for me personally it’s been an incredible 18 months.

Again, I feel this is recognition of how far we have come as a Club. The coaching staff, players, committee and everyone connected with the Club should feel as proud as I do, because winning is a by-product of so many things being done the right way by so many people.

Nomads achieved their highest ever finish in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League finishing second and qualifying for next season’s UEFA Europa League.
