The supermarket has refused to repay fines issued by unauthorised CCTV cameras at its Mold store.

Alyn & Deeside MP, Mark Tami, said:

‘It is only right that Aldi refund the fines that were sent to people prior to planning permission being granted and I will convey just how unhappy my constituents are that these cameras were in operation before planning was approved.’

The two MPs have been contacted by a number of constituents unhappy with the fines implemented through Parking Eye by Aldi and are urging constituents who have been affected to contact them.

Delyn MP, David Hanson, said:

“I look forward to meeting with Aldi – it’s simply wrong to profit from cctv cameras when planning permission wasn’t given at the time. I want an urgent further review by Aldi.”
