Coastguard and Lifeboat called out following reports of 'cries for help' near Flintshire Bridge

Flint Coastguard and the Flint Lifeboat were called out in the early of this morning following reports of  ‘cries for help’ heard new Flintshire Bridge,. Connah’s Quay.

The lifeboat team were put on standby as the coastguard assisted North Wales Police investigate the reported cries which were heard by a security guard from the power station near to the bridge.

Once at the scene the team worked with the police and the police helicopter to search the area.

Nothing was found and following further information from the security guard the police believed the cries did not originate from the river area.
