Flintshire Bridge closed today between 6pm and 9pm due to high wind

Flintshire county council are closing Flintshire bridge today for 3 hours as strong to gale force winds are forecast to hit parts of north Wales.

The wind speed chart (above) indicates the speed and direction of the wind between the 6pm and 9pm tonight (Wednesday) 

The Met Office  has issued a yellow alert for parts Wales however Flintshire is not deemed to be effected.

Deeside.com will as always be monitoring the wind conditions via the Shotton wind gauge;

Gritters will also be in action tonight from 1am as temperatures start to fall in line with seasonal averages.
