Easter Weather warning with strong winds expected to sweep into Flintshire

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert for Easter Saturday with strong wings expected to sweep in to much of Wales and the South.

The weather alert comes into force from 6am on Saturday morning until 9pm on Saturday evening.

A swathe of strong wind and heavy rain will make its way into Flintshire bringing gusts of up to 60mph, slightly higher in exposed and coastal area’s.

The Met Office chief weather bod said:

¨An active frontal zone is expected advance steadily east across the country through Saturday, accompanied by strong, gusty winds and periods of heavy rain. Whilst the strongest gusts are likely to be confined to coastal districts at first, and in the immediate vicinity of the front, gales are likely to become more widespread inland later in the morning and through the afternoon. Winds should ease markedly as the front clears through, particularly in the south.

Fridays outlook:

Chilly start for some, it will be a largely dry and fine day with sunny spells, especially through the morning.

Winds will be light making it feel warmer.
