Distraction burglaries: two men arrested In Deeside today.

Following a spate of distraction burglaries in Flintshire a police operation has led to the arrest of two men in Deeside this morning.

Detective Inspector Tim Evans said;

“I am still appealing for information in relation to these offences.

“I would remind residents, especially older residents, to be on their guard against cold callers offering gardening or house maintenance services, or claiming to be carrying out work for the council or gas companies.”

Residents ion Shotton, Connah’s Quay, Garden City and Ewloe had been a target of thieves who tricking their way into mainly elderly residents homes and making off with valuables.

Police are asking anyone with information should call 101.
