A 14 year old boy who Police said had gone missing and last seen at Deeside leisure centre has been taunting officers via Facebook today causing outrage amongst those who shared the Police alert on the social media site.

Police issued an appeal on Facebook and Twitter late on Saturday evening for help finding ‘missing’ 14 year old Orig Williams believed to be from Mochdre, he was last seen at Deeside Leisure Centre on Friday 20th February.

This afternoon it appears he is in fine spirits pinging messages to North Wales Police from somewhere close to Flint telling them to ‘catch me boys’

Police have responded by saying;

its only a matter of time, whilst you may think this is a game, officers are tasked with finding you which means they cannot attend to other calls which come in, come to one of the police stations so that we can talk to you and free up the officers that are tied up looking for you!#itsnotagam

Many people who originally shared the police appeal appear to be outraged at the young man’s Facebook updates and his apparent wasting of police time.

We’ve checked Orig’s Facebook page and the updates appear to be coming from a genuine account.

Comments include:

“So he’s not missing , just playing silly buggers , plenty of children out there need to be found !!! Waste of time !!”

“Shame on him ! Waisting polices valuable time. I would be very ashamed of my self if I where you.”

“Silly little boy who’s begging it for attention. His parents should teach him some lessons in life”

Others are angry at some Facebook users liking his status updates:

“Cannot believe 13 idiots have liked his comment, there are kids who are genuinly missing and you have this idiot playing stupid games. Grrr I could clip him round the ear.”

A quick search of his name on Google show’s he is no stranger to missing persons alerts, in August 2014 police launched an appeal to find him after he went missing for five days.

Police are still urging anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact them by calling 101 quoting ‘ITrace 12640’
