Employees at Deeside-based Anwyl Group have gone pink and raised more than £1,900.00 for breast cancer awareness and local charity Tenovus Cancer Care.

Staff across all departments at the Ewloe Head Office took part in the initiative, along with the sales and construction teams at Anwyl’s many developments across the region, with each employee donating £1 or more to come to work wearing something pink.

The company also held a pink-themed bake sale and staged a charity raffle and sweepstake.

The Anwyl team is delighted with the final amount raised and would like to thank everyone who took part in the initiative, including its subcontractors for joining in with the theme on the day and contributing to the funds raised.

Director of the Homes Division at Anwyl, Mathew Anwyl, commented:

“Wear it Pink provided a great opportunity for our teams to come together in support of two extremely worthy causes. I am delighted that so much money was raised and that some of it will be used to help individuals and families here in North Wales.”

Construction Division Director, Tom Anwyl, added: “The initiative was also supported by the sales and construction teams as well as our subcontractors on our sites across the region who really got into the spirit of the day by adding a splash of pink to their usual uniforms and high vis jackets.”
