Cheshire Police appeal for information following a fatal collision on the A540 in Mollington

Cheshire Police is appealing for information from the public following a fatal collision near Chester.

Police were called to reports of a two vehicle collision on the A540, Parkgate Road in Mollington just after 7pm on Monday 3rd July.

The crash involved a dark grey Yamaha motorcycle which collided with a dark grey Vauxhall Corsa.

Sadly the rider of the motorcycle, a 42-year-old man from Chester, died as a result of injuries sustained.

The occupants of the Corsa were uninjured.

“As a result of the incident, the road remained closed for a period of time in order to allow collision investigation work to take place” say police.

Anyone who witnesses the collision is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 and quoting Incident number 865 of 03/07/17.
