Latest Ambulance service performance figures for January show a slight improvement in Flintshire.

In January there were 693 category A calls requiring an emergency response in Flintshire, with 335 missing the target time.

The monthly figures published today by the Welsh Government show a slight improvement on Decembers numbers which was the worst performance for the Ambulance service in Flintshire since the 8 minute target time data was reclassified in 2011

While there was a slight improvement versus the previous month, year on year decline has been significant, January 2012 (67.8%) and 2013 (57.6%) while in 2014 just 51.7% of calls classed as ‘category A’ incidents, those deemed to be life threatening, arrived on scene within the 8 minutes of the 65% target time set by NHS Wales

Neighbouring Wrexham 68.4% and Denbighshire 65.4% were top performers in Wales for January 2014.
