THE RSPCA is appealing for information after eight newborn puppies were found by children in Queensferry, Deeside.

The RSPCA was contacted following the shocking discovery on Chester Road East, Queensferry, Deeside, yesterday, Thursday 5th March just before 4pm.

The puppies were found in a black rubbish bin by children who called a dog warden from Flintshire County Council who then called the RSPCA.

RSPCA inspector Tim Jones said:

“It is totally unnecessary and these puppies could have died if nobody had heard them. They could not be seen in the bin.

“They all appeared to be fine but are very young as some of them had their umbilical cords still attached.”

The puppies – thought to be Staffy cross – have now been taken into care by the RSPCA.

“We are appealing for information to try and find out who abandoned these tiny dogs,” added inspector Jones.
