Misery for drivers heading out of Deeside along the M56 after lorry sheds its load of wine

Delays of up to 90 minutes are being reported on the M56 this evening (Friday 21st November) for drivers heading east out of Deeside following an earlier lorry collision.

Two lorries, one believed to have been carrying wine bottles, collided between junctions 12-14 near the Frodsham turnoff, no one was believed to be seriously injured thankfully however one of the HGV’s shed its load of wine.

All lanes are now back open however there are sever delays in the area and on surrounding roads.

Eastbound traffic joining the M56 from the A494 can expect delays between 15 and 90 minutes and the Highways agency are predicting problem’s will continue until around 6pm.
