Update 7:40pm: Police say Shotwick Road in Deeside Industrial Park is now fully open following the earlier incident.

Police are asking motorists to avoid Shotwick Road on Deeside Industrial Park if possible due to a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist.

Update: The air ambulance took off around 6:30pm and flew to the short distance to the Countess of Chester hospital.

One lane closed on the Westbound side and a Wales Air Ambulance has been spotted landing near the scene, flying in from Liverpool.

The accident is believed to involve a motorcyclist.

Latest traffic report says:

‘A548 Shotwick Road Shotton One lane closed and heavy traffic due to accident on A548 Shotwick Road Westbound at Deeside Industrial Park (Zone 2 Turn Off).’
