North Wales Police’s continued crack-down into the supply and possession of controlled drugs in Flintshire continued today, Monday 18th August 2014,  when local Police executed a Misuse Of Drugs Act search warrant in Connahs Quay.

Police Officers seized a quantity of what is believed to be class A controlled drugs and a local man and woman have been arrested for possession with intent to supply.

Local officer PC Jim Bailey said

“A warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed this morning in Cefn Road, Connahs Quay and a quantity of what is believed to be class A controlled drugs and stolen property recovered.   A 48 year old local man and 39 year old local will be questioned and our enquiries continue but we are obviously eager to hear from anyone who has any information about the supply of controlled drugs in the area to contact Police or Crimestoppers.

“This morning’s action is part of Operation Scorpion’s on-going effort to tackle illegal drug production,  possession and supply in the region.   Anyone with information regarding controlled drugs in the county area can contact North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
